Help for Zach & His Family

So many people have been writing asking what they can do to help out Anna and Zach's family. Angela Weir has set up a fund at Kim's bank in Zach's name called The Zach Sowers Support Fund. Anna and Kim will have access to the funds in this account, so that they may offset their many extra expenses in the upcoming weeks and months. People will be able to contribute electronically through Bill-Pay, they can mail their checks to the bank or local people can drop it off at any branch [click here for locations]. Anyone can mail or drop off anytime, but the account isn't set up yet for the Bill-Pay. Here is the information if you would like to contribute anything: Frederick County Bank

Send a letters to the Prosecutor (Jennifer Sites) and the States Attorney (Patricia Jessamy) who are working on the case on behalf of Zach. Tell them how great Zach is and what you think should be the punishment for the 4 boys that attacked Zach. Letters sent will be influential during sentencing.

2) Call, email, write Mayor Sheila Dixon. Tell her what you think needs to happen to Baltimore so that what happened to Zach doesn't happen to you. Feel free to remind her of Zach's story. Ask her for increased police presence. Anna strongly urges you to do this! Mayor Sheila Dixon

Angela would also like to begin coordinating rides for Kim and Taylor so she doesn't have to drive all the time down to Baltimore, which can be exhausting. Also, she is going to coordinate meals so that they don't have to cook for a while. All those interested in helping who live in or near Frederick please contact Angela Weir using the online contact form. A few other creative ways to help
- Get a Zach Sowers t-shirt, all proceeds go directly to Zach & Anna
- Go to Neighbors' Night Out Fundraiser on Sunday, August 5th.
- Donate airline miles for his Dad in Columbus, OH and his sister in San Diego, CA.
- Gas cards or Visa/MasterCard gift cards for gas, food, etc...
- Food, but for now Zach's Dad, Mom and Anna are ok in that area.
- And of course, pray and/or send positive thoughts toward Zach!
